Born in the Philippines, Mark has spent the majority of his life living in Brisbane. Mark’s mother packed up her 3 young children (Mark and his two sisters) for a better life in Brisbane. Mark grew up surrounded by a family of medical practitioners, but never believed that was his own destiny. He experimented with Dance and Drama, with a great lack of success, before realizing his forte was for fashion. Mark studied an Advanced Diploma of Fashion at the Moreton Institute of TAFE, before being offered a position as an Underwear Designer for Bonds. Mark said of this job, that it even surprised himself that he could get sick of looking at bum cracks and crotches. Mark is a flamboyant and highly confident character, who uses sarcasm as his main form of humour. He describes himself as a ray of sunshine that always lights up a room. He has a strong ‘no bullshit policy’ and can be outspoken and to the point if he thinks someone isn’t being straight up. He hates feeling miniscule, undervalued or being put down. |
