Sydney – Bondi (originally from Israel)
Satch Menswear- Assistant State Manager
Smart Casual. Wears a lot of black. Loves tailored jackets.

Born in Israel, Oren moved to Australia 3 years ago. After completing 4 years military service in Israel, he decided to backpack his way around Australia. While here he discovered a niche in the Australian menswear market he felt undiscovered. After returning home, it wasn’t long before he packed his bags, said goodbye to his family and moved to Sydney to study fashion.

Oren has been designing women’s avant garde and menswear for almost five years. Since graduating from an Advanced Diploma of Fashion Design at East Sydney Institute of TAFE, Oren works during the day as a designer, visual merchandiser and shop manager for SATCH.

Oren sees himself as a personable, mature and intellectual person who is attached to his roots, he feels his sensitivity and loyalty can at times be his downfall, as well as being a workaholic. Driven and focused, Oren has been inspired by his mother, a fashion designer and his father, an architect, enabling him to draw inspiration from shapes and structure. Oren views fashion as a way for people to express themselves, but has a strong opinion that the clothes people wear should be classic and tailored. Oren sees Project Runway as a way out of his current situation, where he is not in the place he had hoped he would be at this time in his life. He believes Project Runway will give him the exposure he needs.
