In the Secret Show quest to hit every major city all over the US there was one town that had yet made it too, Omaha. We wanted to make sure that we brought the perfect show to our Nebraskan friends and that's what they got, From First to Last and Hawthorne Heights. Fans began lining up at 9 am and sweated out the Midwestern humidity for nearly 10 hours. By the time the doors swung open over 1000 people were in line fighting for the chance to get inside the 650 capacity Rock
Opening the show was California's Secondhand Serenade. The band is compromised of singer songwriter John Vesely who played songs off his debut album "Awake". Make sure you check out the tour dates on his MySpace page because he's touring all summer and it is definitely a show you wont want to miss.
Next up was From First to Last who's performance will go down as one of the most intense performances of any band to ever play a Secret Show. After parting ways with lead singer Sonny Moore, the band now shares vocal duties and their songs have never sounded so strong. The band played nearly every song off their debut full length "Dear diary, my teen angst has a body count" including the crowd favorite hidden track. Their new album will be dropping soon and will be sure to show off a new and improved FFTL.
Finally 12 hours after the first fans started to line up screamo heavyweights Hawthorne Heights took the stage and rocked out playing an hour set filled with songs off their first two records and even giving the audience a taste of songs from the new record to be released soon. The band closed the night with "Ohio is for lovers" that had all 650 people singing along so loud that you could hear it from blocks away. After the show both bands hung out for hours signing autographs and taking photos for everyone who stuck around
