Hi Philly!
We didn’t catch Swedish rockers Peter, Bjorn and John the first time they came around on tour this year, luckily we managed to wedge a show in on the second tour. Man, this band must be tired, not only did they fly in from Sweden the same day they played the show, it seems like they have been touring on “Writers Block” for a year straight.

The show was at the 1st Unitarian church in Philly (we were thinking cool, alters, pews, holy water) but it was in the basement of the church, fight club style! Despite the bad literally coming from plane to the show, it didn’t seem to stop the band from shredding the tiny basement stage. Air-guitar kicks, playing from the crowd, it was a full blown performance. then the lovely Nicole Atkins was kind enough to travel from Asbury Park, NJ just to do a lil’ sing along with the band on “Young Folks”, which in my opinion really made the song amazing live.

The Performance was really awesome, I can’t thank the bands enough for playing, Nicole Atkins for driving out (go to her myspace page and say hi www.myspace.com/nicoleatkins) and Thom Wasteberg for warming up the crowd. Thank you to Almost Gold and Columbia for supporting the band and bringing them out. and thank you to all the fans that showed up and danced the entire time! It’s the Dance parties at these shows that make it all worth while ?
