The Bravery came home to roost in celebration of their new album “The Sun and The Moon” that came out this week. The spot they chose, Arlene’s Grocery was a homage to where the band got their first break, and got signed by Island. It was intimate to say the least, Arlene’s only holds about 110 people, so the crowd was shoulder to shoulder singing along with every song, some old some new, including my new fav’s "Time Won’t Let Me Go" & "Believe"

Since Arlene’s Was so small and 21+ we decided to have 2 shows, one after school matinee for the all ages, and a evening of 21+ beer drinking fans. The band wrecked both crowds, and gave them a great show, and self proclaimed themselves as the “first band on MySpace”. Now this writer can neither confirm nor deny this claim, but I would be interested to hear from anyone else who can prove this, it would be an interesting fact to find out, right? We should give them a gold page or something, perhaps a fifth song :)

Well, I want to thank Island and The Bravery (go buy their cd, its out this week) for coming out and blowing a few minds with the bands new CD/performance, thanks to Arlene’s Grocery for letting us celebrate there, and to the big red chili in the sky for making all these shows FREE and POSSIBLE.
