There is little in this world as truly epic as MySpace Metal. In July, Secret Shows unleashed upon an unsuspecting Salt Lake City, UT the legendary Slayer in what was an awesome event to be remembered by fans for years to come. This time, Secret Shows descended upon the city of Los Angeles, CA with none other than the leaders of the new American metal movement themselves, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE.

As early as 10am, loyal fans of the Massachusetts metalcore act began lining up at LA’s world famous Key Club on the Sunset Strip. So intense was the desire to see Killswitch Engage in such an intimate space, some fans attempted to camp out in front the night before just to make sure they received the now famous MySpace wristband, which grants fans entry to Secret Shows.

Fellow Mass. metalheads All That Remains kicked the evening into gear with a blazing set of songs from their killer new album, The Fall Of Ideals, as well as select tracks from their previous record, the highly acclaimed This Darkened Heart. Killswitch Engage’s Adam Dutkiewicz produced both records, and they’re awesome. Make sure you check out All That Remains here on MySpace, at myspace.com/allthatremains.

More than 900 MySpacers showed up for Killswitch’s Secret Show, but, alas, the Key Club could only hold 600 -- but you can believe those were 600 of the fiercest fans ever seen on the West Coast. On November 20th, LA’s Key Club shook to its core and blew off its roof as Killswitch Engage took to the stage. The band rocked out an unbelievable set of hits from across their entire catalogue, including live versions of new songs from their uncompromising new album, “As Daylight Dies,” which hit stores just last week. The exclusive performance concluded with Killswitch’s fan-favorite track, “My Last Serenade,” after which every MySpacer in attendance was treated to a free and limited edition, hand-numbered Killswitch Engage Secret Shows poster to commemorate the one-of-a-kind event.

MySpace thanks Killswitch Engage, the band’s management, Ed at Roadrunner Records, All That Remains, and of course to Chili’s for making all Secret Shows free!
