In our quest to bring great free shows to everywhere in the US there has been one place that we had yet to hit, the “Live Music Capitol of the World” Austin, TX. Known for having amazing live performances nearly every night in the city of Austin we wanted to make sure we put together a show that would leave its mark on the great city. You told us who you wanted and you got them, SENSES FAIL at The Parish on Austin’s famous Sixth Street.
Kicking off the show was Texas’s own The Panic Division. They already had a show booked in Texas that night but when they were asked to play a Myspace Secret Show they gladly took us up on the opportunity and post-pone their other show. Playing their own signature brand of indie rock the band gave an amazing performance playing songs off their Militia debut “Versus” and many songs off their upcoming album out in early 2007. Finally after a set change and brief intermission Senses Fail took the stage and the fans immediately erupted into a fury of dancing, moshing and stage diving to the sing along vocals of Buddy Nielson. Austin truly showed how much they love their live shows by easily being one of the best and most energetic crowds out of every Secret Show we have ever had. The band played a long set of fan favorite songs such as “Calling All Cars” and “Can’t Be Saved” off their new album “Still Searching”. They also gave the fans a healthy dose of songs from their Vagrant debut “Let it Enfold You”. After Nearly an hour of playing the band left the stage but the crowd wasn’t going anywhere and began chanting “SENSES FAIL” at the top of their lungs until the band came back out to play 3 more songs.
We want to thank The Panic Division and Senses Fail for putting on such amazing performances and making this such a memorable night for everyone in attendance, The Paris for hosting the show, all the kids in Austin who came out and of course Chili’s who make all these amazing shows possible and most importantly FREE for you!
