The Magic Numbers

Another city, another exclusive Secret Shows gig on 24th of October! This time, Birmingham played host to our second intimate extravaganza from indie rocksters, The Magic Numbers.

The venue was the uber cool Medicine Bar, which is situated in the court yard of The Custard Factory. A magnificent tree sculpture taller than any surrounding building looked down on the Secret Show fans waiting eagerly outside the venue.

True to form, the band played a phenomenal set, treating MySpace Secret Shows friends to an exclusive first listen to their harmonious and energetic cover of Hot Chip's "Over and Over" which won the band a deservedly rapturous applause.

However the band did not shun the loveable songs that first grabbed world attention. The 4 piece played the incredible classic "Love Me Like You", strumming their instruments with emotion and zest.

The fans had an amazing time and - charming as ever - the band even gave fans the chance to hang out with their heroes at the end of the evening.
